I’m Gwyneth Hyndman, a freelance writer living in western Montana. I’ve been a health journalist, an arts reporter, a weekly newspaper editor and a content writer for about 12 years, going between the United States and New Zealand – my father’s homeland and a landscape I have also come to love as an adult. These Homefires started as a blogspot project in 2010 during a stint working as a guide in the South Island, having just finished a creative writing MA program in Wellington, New Zealand. Here in Montana, I’m happily married to a fly-fishing guide and living in a tiny mountain town of about 890 people, with our two daughters and a 100-pound rescue dog.
Welcome to These Homefires.
